Hey guys, I love how the site looks with adding images to it – especially those from games or of specific players. I have several pictures I’ve taken over the years that I can use without copyright issues and was hoping that some of you would have images that I could use as well. I’m specifically looking for players images that can go with stories (Rockies as well as other players – I’m creating a database of images to pull from for the site).
I am also hoping to have a “RWO Fans” page where you can post pics of yourself, family, etc. with little facts so we can get to know you better.
If you would like to see an example of an “RWO Fan” page, you can go to the CONTACT menu and see my “About” page.
If you’d like to give me images you have of players, then go to the CONTACT page and fill out the e-mail and let me know you are interested. I’ll send you a link to my dropBox if you want or a direct e-mail address (or an FTP login if you know what that means
).
Go Rox!

It’d be nice if some benevolent photographer w/ press credentials would join the group and toss us images to use from time to time.
Spkg of press credentials it’d be nice if the site had access to + permission to use the AP summary of the games, but I suppose that would be a major cost issue. We all of course have access to the DP’s game summaries, but they are usually disappointing anymore being more ‘feature’ stories than true objective reporting.
I could get excited about providing game summaries for the site, but what a huge commitment!.. And of course I could only report what’s seen on TV, rehashes of quotes fr Root’s interviews w/ “star of the game” players, Tracy, etc. ie no press credentials + commensurate live viewpoint.
Jaredean were you planning to provide such game reports? Could a group of us “tag-team” it?
Yeah, i’d love to have a benevolent photographer w/press credentials setting up a post-game stream to my dropBox! I haven’t considered using the AP, mostly because of cost – but also because i get tired of going site to site and seeing the same write-up of things because everyone is using the AP…i really like game summaries that are written by Steve and others and was looking forward to trying my hand at writing them. my wife was joking with me, saying that i only started the site because i to justify watching every game, every night live – i usually record it so i can help out with things and watch after the kids are in bed…
So, i’ve planned on writing many of them, but have realized that – even though i’m planning on watching every game (live or DVR) – i can’t possibly do all 162 games (or 163 if that happens again) recaps by myself…
I’m looking for a few people that would like to help out, and if you are interested then i’d love to talk to you more about it…
Okee… Wow more power to ye. Just don’t let watching the games become more obligation than pleasure (kind like you love your dog but wish you didn’t have to walk him 4 times a day). And good luck w/ that.marriage btw.
But yeah, I’d be pretty jacked to cover games you cannot, depending on circumstances, of course.
I agree you can find the AP stories many places. What I like about them is they are factual, an objective accounting of the games, v the Posts “game summaries,” which focus more on whatever’s sensational, like whoever’s 3 for his last 39 + failed w/ a runner on 2nd + 2 out for the 4th time in the last 7 games (gotta sell papers).
So yeah let’s discuss further off-line. I guess you can get my email from the registration?
I’ll look through my stuff. I am not a great photographer but I had some decent shots. Had one of Smith and Iannetta celebrating a walk off with a really high high five but that picture not so relevant anymore. May have deleted it.
