In the first televised game of the Spring, Jeremy Guthrie threw 80 pitches and left the game without an earned run. He held the Dodgers to one run and four hits in 4 2/3 innings, with two walks and two strikeouts.
Betancourt, who came in the ninth with a four run lead, proceeded to blow the lead, giving up five hits and four runs in the ninth. His usual pinpoint fast ball was quite erratic.
Tim Wheeler ended the game in the bottom of the ninth with a two run walk-off, bringing our spring total to 2 walk-off’s!
============== PRE GAME ===========
Root Sports will have its first televised game of the season today at 2:00 MST. Guthrie hopes to continue his great Spring Training work, as he takes the mound, surrounded by the following players:
EYj (CF)
Scutaro (2B)
Blackmon (RF)
Tulo (SS)
Helton (1B)
Nelson (3B)
Andrew Brown (LF)
Nieves (C)
Guthrie (P)
This will be a first look, for many, at Andrew Brown who is in for CarGo.

Looks like the same old Rockies. Can’t get key hits.
Parker Frazier..Nice!!
I haven’t noticed Dexter in the lineup recently. Is he injured, or does he just need a break because of his bad offense so far?
they play a lot of split squad games and it seems like cargo, Dex and Cuddyer play a lot together depending on where they send them. Been to 4 games so far and EY2 has started everyone one in outfield..at times it is like we are trying to either find out who can or can’t perform at a MLB level or showcase someone for a trade.
Go Rox
Closer issues already?
How can u throw home instead of 2nd.Keep the winning run out of scoring position damnit! I thought those were the fundamentals ST was supposed to take care of.If this were reg.season,I’d be throwing thing! I hate the Dodgers in any color!!!!!!
Yikes Raf was hit pretty bad. No walks though which makes me think he’ll be ok.
Wow, nice game! Wheeler with a walk-off 2-run home run. Colvin also had a bomb. Guts looked good, he should be a nice pick-up, especially for The Force (Hammel). Good work boys!
