the early deficit certainly didn’t help. this team feeds off momentum. if a pitcher comes out and eats it I think its really rare for the offense to perform. Friday was a nice exception. Not gonna happen against an Allstar like Santana.

It’s sad. There’s nothing special about this year’s team. I just find it hard to see us putting together a winning streak. Perhaps .500 ball throughout… maybe.
consistently inconsistent. I’m marginally surprised that we are near .500.
If they find that consistency this team might be pretty good.
This series though will be a strain on the pen. I was looking for 6-3 in this series but now I will be happy with 5-4 or even 4-5.
We’re certainly not going to go anywhere with Moyer. He should be on the Padres or Royals. Not in our rotation if we are serious about contending. Too many weak links to this club.
Anyone notice it? Seems like half of the Mets ‘ base hits have been slow bouncing balls up the middle and I kept saying move Tulo or Scutaro and have them positioned right at the bag.

For the series that’s 22 runs, 52 hits, and 9 walks allowed by Rockies pitching.
Or in other words, in 29 innings the Mets had on average 2 guys touch base every inning.
It’s a miracle we had a chance to win the series, but only Todd and CarGo stepped up yesterday and delivered.
These Rockies can’t lose series to bad teams at home!!! Good teams dominate in their house! I just can’t figure this team out!! It seems like they have much more talent then past years…..
This team is much like past seasons. They have a really great, exciting game. Gets everyone thinking … ok …. this is good … now they are headed in the right direction … followed by 3 games that leave you scratching your head.
I’m already sick of sitting thru cold, windy, wet games.
I do plan on keeping my ticket stub from Fri night.

I think this team is easily better than last year. They have some toughness and ability to fight. The problem is still the inconsistency.
I’m not saying this team is going to win 90 games, however, this team at least makes it interesting late.
Last year’s team would go 1,2,3 in both the 8th and 9th.
Sure, in general I do agree with you and so far I think Cuddyer has been a pretty good upgrade but I see more sloppy play this season than the past few seasons. I still see inconsistent or even lack of hitting and the same thing I always seem to complain about … inconsistent pitching even though I think this starting rotation could be decent.
