Andrew Brown of the Sky Sox was named the player of the week. Anybody have any sense as to whether he could become a contributor to the Rockies or a player who could be traded and give us something decent in return?
He looked pretty good in ST.I had forgotten him.There are decent prospects in the springs crowding the outfield and all blocked by the big league clubs solid big 4 and a half[sorry Pooter].Some have to have some trade value.
I like Brown as a righthanded half of a platoon. Brown + Seth Smith would’ve been the poor man’s way of getting the production of Cuddyer. But I guess the Monforts are rich men who can afford the luxury item. Brown was a neat pickup because it’s not just this year that he’s mashed against lefties — he has kept up that pattern in the minors for a few years. Righty platoon guys aren’t very highly sought after overall, but smart GMs figure out a way to get value out of them. That’s why guys like Matt Diaz have had good careers on good clubs.
Hey guys, my city is on fire. Places where I grew up are now burnt to the ground. Several people I know have lost their homes. Please, please, please send prayers to Colorado Springs. My family and are I packed up and prepared to evacuate if we need to.
Ego, terrible news on the fires. Praying that it gets under control. I had to evacuate a few years ago with almost no time to gather stuff. Very scary.
The neighborhood I grew up in is now under mandatory evacuation. This is horrible

Hey Ego, Hope all is well with you and family. Like you, I have several friends directly affected. DrRockies and I know someone very well that was also evacuated. So far, his house is still there. I have one friend that may not have been so lucky.
We ride gog, Flying W, Blodgett, Woodman often. Probably at least once a week.
How horrible!! Couldn’t even imagine what these people are going through. Hang in there Ego and anyone else dealing with this.
