Sorry for such a brief write-up, massive hard drive failure has taken me out of commission!

They way the Rockies run things … probably so. I’m with Dr. Rockies. Yes EY is now making some catches in the outfield. Great. What happens if the ball gets by or in the corner? He doesn’t have an outfielder’s arm. He needs a cutoff man to come halfway out just for a relay throw.

No denying he is better and can cause some excitement though.

I hate to be the wet blanket here, but I just hate the idea of helping the Giants. I wish we could have done this 3 games ago.

Not to rain on the parade but how sad is it??? We reach a high level of elation all because they win 2 out of 3 in a series. Maybe they will win more than one series in Aug. and really give us something to be excited about? I can’t remember when they won more than 1 series in a month. Back in May?

Really??? Do wins and losses mean absolutely anything at this point with the Rockies in 2012? Me – I am all about development of players, positions evaluations, roster roles and trying out some different senarios.

Lets see if Pacheco or McBride can catch a clean game or two each week. Lets see if EY2 can play some decent 2nd defense. Lets also get Rutledge some time on the other side of second base. Heck lets even try some small ball for a change while the power guys are on the DL.

But the real head scatcher for me is what the heck are Wheeler and Blackmon still doing in the minors? Yes I know all about the September call up routine, but these two guys need as many MLB ABs as possible as soon as possible.

BTW this is exactly why MFL J Tracy is the “wrong” manager for this team at this particular point in time. Bless his heart though – he is way too conservative and too darn loyal to the veterans to give the rookies and marginal players a real shot – even in a lost season like 2012.

I wanna see them too. Who do you want to release or send to the minors to do it? It’s probably time for another Cargo DL stint.

Sorry i didn’t do a post-game write-up of last night – I had every intention of watching and reporting, but then got a panic call from a close friend that her 10 year business went up in smoke on her computer and her backups had quit working months ago…we are still dealing with it, so i’m thankful no game tonight!

What you say above, Mikey R, about parade rain and being elated with 2-3 goes back to what i said yesterday…yes, we are out of it for sure and the only question at this point will be the over/under on 100…Yes, the ownership, management and players have failed us all season with no real hope of significant change…

yes, it has been a horrible year….

but, for the love of the game we can still enjoy something good, heck ANYTHING good coming out of a single game…we can enjoy the amazing beginning to Rutledge’s career and the brightness of his future if he continues on the path…we can really revel in EYj’s awesome feat of not only an inside the park home run, but one that went over the head of 2011′s NL MVP (at least the man that SHOULD have been the MVP)…

We can enjoy winning a series in LA and doing so with almost two shutouts…

Nobody is under the impression we are about to go 22-1 again, not that it would help, but i think it is just a little bit of fresh air having something to cheer about when it happens because the feeling doesn’t come around very often these days, and being negative all of the time really takes its toll…
